Frida Kahlo shrine art. 8x10" wooden cradle with collage, painting, and assemblage. On the outside of the shrine are genuine Mexican Talavera tiles. There are assorted charms and objects, including Milagros from Mexico, an antique domino, Czech glass, a Zuni fetish bead, a Persian silver filigree segment from a storytelling bracelet, a star tarot card pendant, coins, 2000 year old Roman glass discs, a glass skull, a Murano glass cross, rhinestones, a beaded Frida charm, and a. miniature bisque antique frozen Charlotte doll. There is a Mexican milagro of a leg, representing Frida's tragic amputation of her leg and the famous colourful prosthetic she wore. The skull represents Mexico's day of the dead skulls and the skeleton Frida used in her painting The Dream. The bisque doll represents the child she longed to have with Diego and the children she lost to tragic miscarriages. The moon collaged to the upper right is from Mexico's loteria symbol game. Two of the charms show the Mexican Virgin Mary, the Virgin of Guadalupe.
